Welcome to the Lumber Exchange Event Center, a historic gem nestled in the heart of Minneapolis, Minnesota. You'll be swept away by The Lumber Exchange's old-world charm— grand arches, romantic chandeliers, lofty ceilings, and dazzling marble floors. The original exposed brick paired with modern touches creates an industrial vibe that’s sure to captivate both you and your guests. The venue comes with two private suites and a dedicated cocktail hour space, making it ideal for intimate gatherings or grand celebrations. We’re here to make your day seamless from start to finish. Our venue rental includes a range of essentials, from tables, chairs, and linens to servers, bartenders, a wireless microphone, surround sound, two private suites, and liability insurance. We take care of setup and teardown so you can focus on enjoying your day. With skyway access to two hotels and a 700-stall covered parking garage, travel and lodging for you and your guests are both convenient and stress-free.

If you’re dreaming of a lavish wedding, this nine-story atrium is perfect. With natural light pouring in, a cascading fountain, sparkling chandeliers, and vintage lamp posts, The Fountain Room is simply breathtaking. The River Room is adjacent to the Fountain Room and showcases the original windows of the building. The River Room serves as the included cocktail hour area.

A Perfect Day!
We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding venue. From the moment we toured the space, we knew it was something special. The historic building was absolutely beautiful, the Fountain Room elegant and well-maintained, and everything felt thoughtfully designed for a seamless wedding day. The staff truly set this venue apart. They were professional, responsive, and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. On the day of the wedding, everything ran smoothly and stress-free, which allowed us to actually enjoy the moment instead of worrying about logistics. Our guests are still talking about how stunning the venue was and how well everything flowed from ceremony to reception. If you’re looking for a venue that combines beauty, organization, and genuinely kind people, the Lumber Exchange is it. We’re so grateful we chose this place for such an important day and would recommend it without hesitation.

From the moment we began our journey with the Lumber Exchange, every staff member was flexible, friendly, helpful, and kind. Everyone we worked with truly wanted our day to be special. The food is incredible, and the chefs were so attentive to dietary needs—during our tasting they sat down with us, and the head chef even came out during the reception to make sure everything was perfect. The entire team puts their best foot forward. The value of the service, food, beverages, and overall experience is absolutely worth the cost, and compared to other venues, it’s not overpriced in my opinion. The Lumber Exchange offers several beautiful event spaces and is conveniently connected to a hotel, which made everything so easy for us and our guests. Our day was magical, and the Lumber Exchange team was truly wonderful. We look forward to hosting another event there someday and will always hold our wedding day close to our hearts!
