Hi, my name is Maria Davis! I am a documentary style photographer capturing love stories on both film and digital. I am a homegrown and local Winston-Salem, NC girl with a second location in Boston, MA. This combination of locations allows me to easily serve all up and down the upper east coast without travel fees, but I'm an avid world traveler and always ready to hop on a flight. If you have the opportunity to work with Maria we recommend you take that chance while you’ve got it. She is an AMAZING photographer, fun to work with, and is so thoughtful/ helpful during the planning journey. We’ve already had a friend say they’d hit her up if they get married because they loved our experience and photos so much. 10000% could not recommend her enough. When we were looking for a wedding and engagement photographer we wanted someone who was creative in their shots, had crystal clear photo quality, and had a true to life/vibrant photography style - and Maria was the perfect fit! We had a phone consultation where she asked thoughtful questions to get to know us as a couple but also helped asked things related to photography to help us communicate our desires and ensure she was the right fit. Maria wants her couples to have the dreamiest day and I loved how intentional she was with helping us communicate our vision - she’s the pro and knew exactly what to ask to get us thinking! We were immediately obsessed and left in awe at some sample galleries, so we signed right away. When it came time for our engagement photos we had this super fun pre-shoot questionnaire that once again consisted of thoughtful questions (our planner was SO impressed with them), such as if there were any specific shots we wanted or our comfort level with photos. My now husband and I sat down with wine and went through the questions together, so that itself was a fun planning experience. We’re not the most comfortable in front the camera so it was cool to feel seen and have her understand us before we arrived to the shoot. And let me tell you we had the BEST time! We felt comfortable so quickly and the shoot flew by. The photos turned out AMAZING and we got even more excited for the wedding. Before the wedding we had a questionnaire to go over our desires for the wedding (and even had a chance to put secret info if you had any surprises for people or just wanted her to be aware of certain family dynamics you don’t want widely disseminated). On our wedding day Maria even handled a situation for us when we asked for help and she was the most discreet and professional and got us taken care of. We just got our full gallery back and the photos are the dreamiest - incredible sunset photos, creative and thoughtful detail shots, and excellent photos of our guests. The gallery captures our day perfectly and is everything and more than we could have asked for. Maria is timely, talented, professional, a cool person, and is someone we’d hire again in a heartbeat. Plus, she’s always down for an adventure so if you want to travel I’m sure she’ll be happy to meet you there and help make your photography dreams come true. Maria is INCREDIBLE, and we are so glad we chose her for our wedding photos. 1. She is super professional and prompt, but is also just a really cool person who did SO MUCH to calm our nerves leading up to the wedding. 2. Her photos are gorgeous. She has such good attention to detail, lighting, editing, and you can really really tell in the finished product. 3. She just takes photos of you whenever she is around, and got tons of great candids. 4. We had gorgeous sneak peeks within like 48 hours of the wedding - it was truly insane turnaround but was amazing for us to get hype and very quickly see high-quality photos of the day. 5. The system she uses to deliver your photos is great - we got a lot of compliments on it from our friends and family! 6. She goes above and beyond to make sure you get what you need - we filled out a survey a few weeks out listing our priorities, existing schedule, who needed to be in family photos, etc, and she sent back a really nice photo schedule document. It was fantastic to front-load this work and get it out of the way, and it made the day go so smoothly! 7. Overall she just really incredibly & beautifully captured the joy of the day - the personalities of my partner and I, our friends and family, the vibe of the venue and the party, and the sweetness of the sweet moments. We got tons of photos we will cherish forever and are so so thankful she was the one to capture the day!

We were on the fence about hiring a wedding photographer - ours was a small, DIY, backyard wedding but we are SO grateful that we went for it and worked with Maria. She captured the day perfectly and we'll have all of the special moments she captured in the photos to look back on forever. Maria was extremely thoughtful and helped us think through what was important to us with the photographs. Were were really excited to get the first looks back (really quick turnaround time) and relive the day. The quality and perspective of the photos is beautiful and exactly what we were hoping for. Can't recommend Maria enough!

We could not be happier with our experience with Maria from MTD Photo Co. She photographed our entire wedding weekend, including our welcome party and the full wedding day, and truly exceeded every expectation. Maria was professional, warm, and so easy to work with from start to finish. We were blown away by how quickly everything was delivered — we received a sneak peek gallery within a week of the wedding and our full gallery just one month later. Every single photo is absolutely beautiful, and we are genuinely in awe of her work. She captured the emotions, the details, and all the special moments so perfectly. Her second photographer, Jackson, was equally wonderful — incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional throughout the entire weekend. Together, they made us feel comfortable and confident, and it truly shows in the photos.
