Can we personalize our ceremony?

With VaVow Ceremonies, you're not limited to a typical or standard ceremony script. Our celebrant, Steven, will work closely with you to craft a ceremony that perfectly captures your personalities and shared love.

Question 2

We’re legally married already. Can you still do our ceremony?

We understand that getting legally married beforehand is a practical choice for many couples, and it certainly doesn't diminish the importance of having a heartfelt ceremony to celebrate your union with loved ones. In fact, it often gives you more freedom to design a celebration that is exactly what you want, without the pressure of legal requirements. Many of the couples we work with choose this path. It allows us to focus entirely on crafting a beautiful, personalized ceremony that tells your unique love story and celebrates this special milestone with the people who matter most to you.

Do you do rehearsals? Is that included in your cost?

Yes, we do! A rehearsal is a great way to ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident on the big day. Often, a same-day rehearsal is included as part of your ceremony package. We find this works beautifully, allowing us to walk through the ceremony flow with your wedding party just before the celebration begins. If you'd like a separate, full rehearsal on a different day, we can certainly accommodate that. We'll simply create a customized quote and proposal that fits your specific needs. This way, you get exactly the level of support you're looking for to make sure your ceremony is seamless and stress-free.

Do you provide or require premarital counseling?

We do not require premarital counseling. We believe that planning your ceremony is an opportunity to focus on your story and what makes your relationship special. While we don't provide formal counseling, many couples find that our collaborative process of creating the ceremony is a lot like a fun and interactive therapy session. As we work together, you'll have the chance to reflect on your journey as a couple, share what you love most about each other, and talk about your hopes for the future. This process often feels very meaningful and brings you even closer together as you get ready for this exciting new chapter.

How many weddings have you done?

I am an officially ordained celebrant and have had the joy of officiating dozens of weddings for couples all across New England. Each ceremony is a unique and special experience, and it's been an honor to be a part of so many beautiful love stories. I am also a proud member of the International Association of Professional Wedding Officiants (IAPWO). This organization is a fantastic resource that supports officiants worldwide, ensuring we uphold the highest standards of professionalism and stay connected with the best practices in the industry.

The business truly emerged during COVID, out of a deep desire to help people connect and celebrate their love in a deeply personal and meaningful way, even when faced with so many challenges.
