Riverside on the Potomac was the perfect venue for our wedding. The staff was extremely responsive, timely, and direct in their communication, making planning a breeze. The venue itself is simply stunning, with beautiful river views and lush gardens that made for a gorgeous backdrop to our big day. Considering the beautiful setting and high level of service, we felt the pricing was very fair. The team went above and beyond to ensure we could utilize the entire property to bring our vision to life. They took care of every last detail and there wasn't a single hiccup all day or night thanks to their diligent coordination. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and highly recommend Riverside on the Potomac to any couple looking for a beautiful and seamless wedding experience.

My husband and I cannot say enough about The Boathouse at Rocketts Landing! From the first tour back in August 2024 until our wedding in November 2025, they were absolutely fantastic. We worked with Bonnie initially, but Alli was our official day of coordinator. The price is worth it for everything you get - venue, staff, food, bar, setup, and so much more. Alli and her staff were amazing every step of the way, and they truly made our wedding day as special, easy, and memorable it could be. The photos I am attaching are from Ivy and Lace Photo!

We had our wedding at DW on September 1, and it was truly flawless. DW is such a well oiled machine and the night went incredibly smooth. It was such a pleasure to work with Latoria, Chloe, and Tori throughout the planning process. We had about 150 people with a band and it was the perfect fit. The room was STUNNING and the team was super accommodating with last minute changes and a huge wrench thrown our way on the big day. No one even flinched and they adapted beautifully. SO sad it's over and I wish we could do it again!!

Fox Meadow Barn was the perfect venue for our wedding and I could not have imagined a more magical night. It offered the perfect indoor/outdoor experience for our guests with beautiful views and stunning sunset picture opportunities. Dixie was very easy to work with, from coordinating the initial venue visit to allowing us to stop by on our own several times before the wedding to take another look, to just overall great communication. The venue itself is already so beautiful and the lighting is amazing but on top of that they have left over decorations available from previous events to borrow (which we did and they were awesome)! The flexibility to choose our own vendors made it a much more affordable experience. On top of that, Dixie also provided a list of local vendors that previous events had used which was also super helpful in finding vendors. I could not recommend this venue enough!!

Milton Ridge was an incredible place to get married! The beauty of the venue and the inclusive wedding options (i.e. catering, DJ, etc.) made this the absolute perfect place to say, "I do!" The getting ready suites were superb & made the day of preparation before the ceremony seamless. The chapel was so beautiful and such a great little spot off the side of 355. Our guests still comment on the simplicity of how we decorated the chapel, and how beautiful the white walls and natural light streaming in were during the ceremony. I was not sure how we'd get group photos on the property... and our photographers were able to use the beautiful stone and green areas within the venue to capture the most beautiful photos of the bride, groom and the wedding party! Guests are still RAVING about how convenient it was to walk up a few stairs to the cocktail hour AND into the reception. They marveled at the ease... park your car, attend the ceremony and then stay and party all night long until it's time to leave! The reception hall was beautiful; the buffet food was to die for; and Meghan and Brandi ensured that EVERY detail of our wedding day was accounted for, seamless and flowing without any hitch! I cannot recommend Milton Ridge enough! Thank you for making our wedding day the most memorable and BEST day of our lives! We owe it to this team, this venue and their support with planning our wedding every step of the way!

Worsell Manor could not have been a more perfect vendor for us! From the time we toured in September 2023 to our wedding in September 2024, there was constant communication and helpfulness with the staff there. We were required to have a day-of coordinator, and were so happy we picked one of the staff members at Worsell: Ashlee. We stayed at the house on the property with our wedding party and it was perfect. The staff at Worsell were extremely helpful day of - everything was done behind the scenes for us which was great for us so we didn’t feel stressed. I wish we could do the day all over again!

Rixey offers the most spectacular views... from the top of the Blue Ridge Mountains on one side, to the bottom of Rixey Lake on the other. Our rooftop and patio spaces make for a magical setting both at sunset and at night, and the Ballroom, complete with climate control and ADA-accessible bathrooms, means that inclement weather won't have a negative effect on your special day. We had a great experience with Rixey and for the context of this review we had a 150 person wedding a 48 person rehearsal dinner and a 120 person welcome party all at the manor. Isadora feels like your kind neighbor who lends you her home for your wedding. There is no “fine print” she is very upfront about what you can and can’t do and she really does let the world be your oyster. She always feels like you’re talking to a real person and not a sales person. She will not hound you about anything and really is good at just making sure the big parts are taken care of as you wish and then she fields the small stuff. The venue is a blank canvas. For me this was the best and worst part. The best part was we could do anything. The worst part was we could do anything and your mind changes so much in a year and a half. The home was built in the 1800s and you can use it as is, or dress it up. Rixey was SO kind to let us decorate or take down what they had in the house to let us feel like everything felt more like us. My goals/ priorities going into wedding weekend were: 1. Be with people as much as possible 2. Flexibility 3. Be able to stay on the premise/ friends and family stay with us 4. Not be limited to an xx-hour timeline for the whole weekend where all your things need to be in and out by strict times. 5. Bring own vendors & alcohol (This saved us THOUSANDS, probably 10s of thousands actually.) Rixey really got us with the “basically it’s an Airbnb with a wedding venue attached” and honestly it felt like just that. I had spreadsheets of venues from PA/ MD/DC/VA and Rixey was the only venue we could have Thursday- Sunday, bring in all our own vendors & sleep 12-18 people on the premises. (ideally, we wanted to have more people on the premises, but such place does not exist in our price range) Everywhere else that could house more people were resorts or hotels that got you stuck into vendor packages that ate up your wedding budget like it was an appetizer. Isadora brought us in gave us some vendors she used in the past and liked. Some worked very well for us, others were not our style and that’s okay! She is not offended in the least. She was able to give us , , or she does not have any incentive to push any vendor on you. She tells you who she likes and it’s up to you, if you use them. Her helpers- she has extra sets of hands, who again feel like friends and family of hers that help your wedding weekend go as planned, from filling up water jugs, to tapping beers, setting up tables, cleaning off tables, dishes, boxing or unboxing stuff, giving out tips, making our bud vases. We literally just handed her the boxes of things on Thursday and they were all set up by Friday at the rehearsal dinner. Other vendors we used here Sammys rentals for tent and some tableware Will Gralley DJ- absolutely recommend kept 3 hour dance floor going all night Audra Jones Photography- absolutely recommend see photos attached Good Earth- very fairly priced and easy to work with Classic catering- some logistical issues, but keep your ducks in a row and you can save thousands here. Transportation Central Virginia Wine tours- best price we could find in the area, flexible and easy to work with, would absolutely use again

From the moment we walked into BelAir 1740 my daughter knew this was the perfect place for her wedding. The barn and the grounds are beautiful. Maria made it so easy to book, plan and enjoy the day. The gardens are beautiful and although it rained the day of, there was plenty of room on the patio for the ceremony. Highly recommend this venue. Large bridal suite and groom's room on site. Great lighting and plenty of room inside and out for guests to enjoy your event.

My husband and I had our wedding at Lovingston in June. We loved every minute of the day in large thanks to Tessa and Wes. It was the perfect venue for us; intimate, serene, and natural. We stayed on site throughout the weekend in their beautiful homes that mix the rustic charm of the area and modern amenities so well. It was extremely comfortable and very convenient for us and our loved ones to stay on site. Family and friends are so important to us and we felt like this venue really allowed us to spend immense quality time with them. We received endless compliments on the venue and could not have agreed more with our guests, it was perfect. Tessa was super easy to communicate with and we felt we were in great hands. She and Wes were flexible with our plans and helped us to remain stress free on the day. We even visited the site in person a few times before the wedding to prepare, taste wine, and visit Arnie and Hank. Tessa provides a phenomenally helpful list of recommended vendors, many of which we used for our day. We cannot sing their praises highly enough and recommend using Lovingston Winery as your venue 1000%. We can't wait to come back and visit!

Jack and I could not have imagined a better venue for our wedding than The Club at Glenmore in Keswick, Virginia. Growing up in Charlottesville, I knew that I wanted to get married in my hometown. Wineries are a popular choice in Charlottesville, but they are mostly located in the surrounding counties which require a long drive from hotels. Winery weddings can also require coordinating a lot of rentals (decor, tables, chairs, etc.) and finding a caterer. After researching all of the venues around Charlottesville, we chose The Club at Glenmore or many reasons. One, the beautiful and convenient location. Glenmore was conveniently located only about 10 minutes from our hotel block on Pantops which made it easy for guests and shuttles. Even though the location is close to town, it is situated inside a beautiful gated neighborhood with views of the mountains, rolling horse pastures, and well maintained golf course. So it feels like it's out in the country without actually being that far away from town! Two, the full service. Glenmore provides so much for its couples! It has an amazing on-site chef so we did not need to find a separate catering company. This was one of our main deciding factors! Couples even do the food & wine tasting at the venue which makes for a fun day trip :) Glenmore provides all of the ceremony chairs, reception chairs, tables, glassware, serving ware, flatware, etc. So we did not need to rent anything except purchase some decorations. Speaking of decorations, Glenmore has many decor pieces that we were able to use! They have arbors, prosecco walls, a boxwood wall for photo opps, votive candle and holders, charger plates, up-lights, bistro lights, etc. Three, the amenities. Getting ready spaces, ceremony locations, cocktail terrace, reception ballroom - Glenmore has it all! Glenmore has a beautiful bridal suite that the ladies in my bridal party were able to use all morning. The bridal suite has plenty of room to get ready in, hang dresses in, store decor in, and even take pictures in. There is a separate space downstairs where the guys can get ready in too! We all enjoyed spending the morning and early afternoon together in these spaces while eating breakfast and lunch prepared for by Glenmore! The space was also convenient for our vendors too. They could come and check in with me throughout the morning since I was getting ready on-site. There are many ceremony locations to choose from if you want your ceremony at Glenmore. We actually switched our ceremony location within about 2 weeks of the wedding and Glenmore was very accommodating with this switch. Finally, the beautiful ballroom was another major deciding factor for us. We had our wedding in the summer, so we knew we wanted to have the reception indoors in an air conditioned room. Four, the staff. Glenmore takes pride in providing top notch service to its clients. Kim, the event coordinator at Glenmore, helped us so much from start to finish. She walked us through the wedding process, answered the many questions we had, worked with all of our vendors, met with us for our tasting and walkthroughs, made sure that all of our requests were met, and coordinated the entire Glenmore team on our wedding day. If you are looking for a beautiful full-service wedding venue with everything including an amazing on-site caterer, top notch staff, convenient location, and gorgeous views, Glenmore is the place for you!!

I couldn’t have asked for a better venue to get married at! Joel and Bethany were amazing to work with and made sure our special day was absolutely perfect! We had their wine and sangria for our reception (IMPECCABLE) and they had provided us with a list of vendors they’ve worked with which made finding a caterer, photographer, makeup artist, officiant, etc. SOOO much easier - especially since we were coming from out of state. There are so many picture perfect spots on their property that will truly feel like a scene out of a movie. I honestly can’t say enough amazing things about them!

We had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at Greenock Manor, and we could not have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, Chanel—who not only runs the venue but also served as our wedding coordinator and planner—was truly phenomenal. She is incredibly sweet, attentive, and went above and beyond to help us create a weekend we’ll never forget. Chanel connected us with amazing vendors, including our caterer, DJ, officiant, and photographer, and made the entire planning process feel seamless. She helped to ensure we were getting good prices, and she was always accommodating, communicative, responsive, and wonderfully organized, which made us feel completely at ease leading up to the big day. The venue itself is stunning—elegant, charming, and full of character. Our wedding was in late April, and the venue grounds were lush and vibrant with greenery and flowers. One of the highlights was the ample on-site lodging, which allowed the wedding party to stay with us over the weekend. Being able to spend extra time with our close friends and loved ones in such a beautiful setting made everything even more special. After the wedding, we took advantage of the fire pit on the property, and it turned out to be the perfect way to wind down with our wedding party and share a few more laughs before the weekend came to a close. We can’t recommend Greenock Manor—and Chanel—highly enough. It was everything we dreamed of and more.

We have been working with [and for] Castle Farm since the beginning. We did the first wedding ever there! Every year they add something new and there are tons of places for pictures! The owners are great people and are extremely accommodating to everyone! You can have a beer pony, horses in your portraits and the guests truly love the interaction! No matter where you are you get an incredible view! I can't say enough about this place and the owners...it is definitely a one of a kind location you won't forget!

If you are searching for somewhere to have the perfect outdoor wedding, look no further than Comus Farm. Lauren and Kara truly pulled out all the stops to make our wedding day unforgettable! In 2023, my husband and I were looking for wedding venues: we were very specifically looking for someplace that would not require a lot of decoration work, since we were planning the whole event ourselves. As soon as my husband and I arrived at Comus Farm, I said “this is it, I want to book this place.” The farm is located in pleasant countryside, and the farm itself has a very beautiful entrance through trees and sunny fields: many of our guests commented on how this made the drive from the off-site ceremony to the reception at the farm very enjoyable. We toured the rose garden, outdoor dining and dancing pavilions, and the large barn, all of which are airy and open, making it feel very welcoming. The farmhouse Airbnb was spacious, clean, and well decorated. Lauren and Kara were both so kind, and they provided a lot of information with us in our first meeting: we signed the contract about a week after seeing the place. Lauren and Kara used AislePlanner to help us get going with our wedding planning. The website is easy to use, and the provided checklist covered literally every single tiny detail you could possibly need to consider for the planning journey. I was especially pleased with the seating chart map, it made it so easy for us to track guest meals, stage table set up, and communicate special requests. It also prints out the layout really nicely if you need to send it to your catering company. Our wedding party stayed at the farmhouse Airbnb the night before and after the wedding. Everyone had a really fantastic time, there was more than enough space for the girls to get ready in the AM, and the food provided was delicious! During the reception, my grandparents enjoyed their dinner in the kitchen so they could get some quiet time and rest, but they were still close enough to the wedding so they could say hello to the guests and listen to the speeches happening in the dinner pavilion. I also cannot say enough about how much we appreciated Lauren and Kara’s thoughtfulness throughout the planning process and on the day. They patiently answered so many of our questions, and they allowed us to come by three separate times to see the farm and meet with our vendors. They coordinated the vendors without a hitch, and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing on the day of the wedding. Kara drove the two of us and our photographer out to more remote areas on the farm to get some portrait shots. Lauren coordinated some fun photos with the alpacas, which was a lot of fun! Comus Farm is truly a beautiful spot to have a wedding, complete with a team that made our day perfectly stress-free. I’ll definitely be looking for any other reason to book with them in the future :)

Rolling Hills Farm and Vineyard was the perfect venue for our wedding. The ability to have our ceremony outside on the beautiful grounds and then move the reception into the charming 3-level barn was exactly what we were looking for. The barn was already decorated with lovely string lights both inside and out on the deck, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. They were open to our suggestions, and helped make our day exactly as we envisioned. The natural beauty of the venue was stunning and made for gorgeous photos. We would absolutely return to Rolling Hills Farm and Vineyard for another special event in the future.

As soon as we took a tour of the Atrium, we knew this was the perfect spot to get married. The gardens are beautiful, and the inside the building the glass walls, plants, and little river give an airy and natural feel. I didn't worry about rain because you feel like you're outside even when you're in. When guests got too hot on the dance floor, they could go out and socialize on the patio overlooking the gardens in the cool night air. Given the meal prices for comparable venues, this venue is GREAT VALUE!! The food was great and the guests were happy. There were a couple small things that might be helpful to share, though. Our point of contact changed several times in the span of our engagement and there was sometimes a delay in communication. Also, the venue was marketed as a capacity of 200 people but it is better suited to weddings of 160-180 guests. When you go over 180, you have to choose some guests to seat in a room that feels divided by the little stream which is awkward. Also, there is no space for getting ready so brides and bridesmaids have to get ready off-site. Overall, I was overjoyed with having my wedding day here and I think for the price we still had an incredible experience. I don't regret it at all!!
