I started my career in beauty going to cosmetology school directly after high school. For me it was a quick way to hit the job market as a young single mother. If you asked me back then I would have said "beauty school is just a way to pay for college". After graduating BS and working in a salon I started college soon to realize that beauty was my absolute calling. I was scouted by a photographer and started shooting every week.
