My name is Allissa and I am an urban flower farmer and floral designer based in Norfolk, VA. I have three children and have spent the last nine years at home with them, transforming our land into a cut flower farm. Every floral design I create, every flower I grow reminds me of how blessed I am to be here. Flowers are my love language and each bloom is chosen with care. Brin’s Posy is named after my beloved dog. She passed away unexpectedly a few years ago, leaving myself and her pup sister (Abby) to figure out life without her. We were months of grieving her loss when a close friend insisted I channel the grief energy into something positive. A bell went off in my head as my current job as a florist in a far away town was coming to an end. Brin’s Posy helped me come to terms with the loss. I still have Abby (the shop girl) in the shop daily and occasionally out to our farm venues! We love to source local and work with community members.
