A Private Barn Estate in The Hudson Valley

5.0

Slate Hill, NY
  • Up to 65 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $3,000

As a kept-secret private property instead of a public business venture, we share our name, website and corrected address once in touch to discuss possibilities. To hint: we're in the Hudson Valley in the most adorable town, 1.5 hours from New York City; on rural acreage but mere minutes from idyllic Main Street. And as a coveted AirBnB of many years, those who celebrate can return again for years to come... Our six-bedroom barn estate built in 1790 on three acres of lawn and meadow uniquely marries under one 4,000-sq-ft roof a post-and-beam "cathedral" side with soaring 40-foot ceilings and a grand staircase, and a cozier cottage side with farmhouse aesthetic. Aside the manse is a secondary 1,000-sq-ft whitewashed open-space "raw" barn. And fun fact: We host only a handful of events per year on a first-come basis, so you can rest assured that you aren't just filling a slot at a popular venue that will then move on to the next the following day. Let your day be as special as you!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away
  • Provides setup and cleanup
  • Offers full flexibility in setup and decor

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • No all-inclusive dining options
  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic
From the moment we first reached out, the very hip owners at A Private Barn Estate in The Hudson Valley (you'll learn its real name:) were always available, communicative and fun. We're so glad we found this beautiful property, it's very private and hard to find online, so we felt it was lucky of us. We also like that, that it isn't used solidly by one couple after another; they also choose the couples reverently to whom they extend their home. If you want to feel special and marvel at a barn while saving money for other things, this is it.
