When I used to think of wedding planners, I pictured the movie version — someone with a headset, barking orders, and obsessing over every tiny detail (I've never been married, so I literally had no idea what to expect!!) I’m a TV producer, so I know what it takes to plan a big event, but wedding planning is its own beast. It takes people like Haylie and Becca to make it all come to life. Becca, in particular, was like an extension of me. She was funny, caring, and endlessly patient. She offered thoughtful advice when I had no clue what I was doing, and she made sure everything ran smoothly even when I was emotionally overloaded. She’s also incredibly creative — she even hand-made beautiful pieces for me that made the day feel so personal. Haylie and Heirloom Event Co made sure my wedding wasn’t just organized, but deeply special. They’re not the stereotypical “crazy planners with headsets” — they’re a compassionate, talented team who balance professionalism with heart. I've been with Kehoe Designs for 20 years designing luxury events and weddings with her, and in that time, I've not come across another person that is as professional, exquisitely organized, and talented as a manager of details as she is. She is beyond wise for her years and knows everything a bride could ask in hand already. Even with me being in the industry Brooklyn would ask me questions leading up to the big day I didn't even know I had, she made sure I knew when and how to get my marriage license and took care of sending it back to the clerk for us. She handled getting the rings to the correct bridal party members and made sure to grab our vow books before the ceremony so we didn't have to remember them. I literally didn't have to handle a single thing on my wedding day because she was there to handle it all. She made all the difference plus she continued to come and check in in me to see how I was doing throughout the getting ready process and has the calmest nature helping me to feel ready before I walked down the aisle. not only did she handle coordination and officiating the wedding she sprinkled in some extra magic by taking some gorgeous photos throughout the day and sent them to me the morning after the wedding so I would have a little something until my professional photos arrived! I am so utterly grateful to Brooklyn for making the best day of my life utterly perfect. She may be based in Ohio, however, my wedding was in Michigan-she has traveled all over the United States to work weddings and is so worth it, so feel free to inquire about out of state travel. She helped us personalize our day to be representative of us as a couple, highlighting what was important to us. She helped with communication and follow up with vendors which alleviated some of the stress and “to do” items leading up to the wedding. Katie was incredibly helpful with running our rehearsal, ensuring that our family and friends knew what to do and had their questions answered as well. Our day ran so smoothly and I’m sure there was much Katie helped with behind the scenes that made that happen. She helped with set up and take down of decorations, always made sure we had a drink if we wanted one, and was the go-to person for everyone’s questions which took a lot of stress of off me and allowed us to enjoy our day. We highly recommend you adding Katie to your team and I know you’d be in great hands.

I didn’t have to worry about timelines, vendor arrivals, or any of the behind-the-scenes chaos that comes with a wedding. I just got to soak in every second, knowing she had everything under control.
