We felt such a weight lifted off our shoulders working with such a fabulous group of people and our planner (Charlotte…: can’t recommend her enough to y’all!!! ). Charlotte seriously made my day and was such a a sweet soul to be around, I felt like I knew her forever as soon as I met her and we got to chatting. We got married at Woodsgate at the Stroudsmoor last weekend and to say it was perfect would still be an understatement. All but two of our vendors were internally through the venue and they took care of everything! From food to cake to makeup and hair to decorations, the Stroudsmoor team did a fantastic job putting together such a magical day for my husband and I. Our closest guests and us stayed for the weekend and enjoyed their gorgeous rooms with woodsy views and a delicious breakfast buffet for both mornings. Throughout the weekend, the staff were friendly and personable and were a part of some of our best memories from the weekend. It’s a week later and our guests still have not stopped raving about the food and the incredible service. The price was reasonable and worth every penny! We are extremely happy we made the choice to sign with the Stroudsmoor and look forward to staying here in the future and even attending more weddings here in the future! A huge thank you to Linda, Alex, Kaylie, Corinne, Grayson, Colleen, Gina, and the rest of the Stroudsmoor Team! We are so thankful to have had such a stress free, enjoyable weekend we can remember for the rest of our lives.

Our wedding at Deity Brooklyn in June 2024 was absolutely magical! I would 100% recommend Deity to anyone looking for a unique, all-inclusive wedding venue in NYC. From the up-front pricing information, to the first tour with Caio, to securing our date, coming in for a menu tasting and having our planning meeting with Anna and Kat - every step of the way reinforced my confidence that choosing Deity as our wedding venue was the right choice! The space is a beautiful historic building that's been converted to a four story (plus rooftop!) party venue. I loved that Deity provides all the dinnerware, linens and candles, it really limited the decisions we had to make so we could focus on personal touches for our day. We wanted our wedding to feel like an amazing house party, which Deity perfectly delivered. Anna was an incredible coordinator, so on top of everything and thoughtful. The day-of team ran everything so smoothly - I honestly wasn't stressed for a moment, because everyone was organized, calm and clearly loves what they do. The chef and DJ (part of the all-inclusive pricing!) were also amazing. Our guests are still raving about the delicious family-style dinner from the mind of Chef James; and how DJ BenHaMeen read the room and kept us dancing and singing until the wee hours of the morning. We were thrilled with Willowdale Estate as our wedding venue! Julia and her team were a joy to work with - communication was easy, efficient, warm and welcoming every step of the way. The estate itself is gorgeous, with colorful, elegant spaces full of character that made the perfect backdrop for our big day. They brought our vision to life and then some, handling every detail so that we didn't have to worry about a thing. The food was delicious and plentiful - guests are still raving about it! Not only was it our favorite day ever, but multiple people told us it was the most fun wedding they've attended. I went to the open house last year and fell in love with the Venue at First sight. The grass, pecan trees, citrus trees, and then 40,000 lights sold the deal. We got married on 5/25/24, with almost all guests flying in. Every guest commented on how romantic the venue was. Stephanie and Ben were the best; they were both very professional and provided their expertise when needed. I can't forget how the ceremony went perfectly due to the support and always encouraging staff, especially Ben. Ensemble Catering is a part of the venue, and being that I have mostly foodie friends, everyone thought the food was delicious. The late-night Fries and Cookie Wall were discussed for the next few days when guests called to say how much they enjoyed the evening. Another consideration in my 5-star review is that the vendors in the package and on their website were just as great to work with. My husband and I are so grateful to everyone who worked that day and all the others who helped plan and make it the best day of our lives. We specifically worked with Got You Covered DJs, Sugarlips Bakery, TonyGeorgePhoto, Ensemble Catering, Wildchild Flowers, and AllTheLovelyLeigh Details. Below are photos from guests, not TonyGeorge. We eloped at this incredible venue, and we can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was. As a queer couple, it's been a little uncertain with the changing climate around queer rights, I found out through Zola that Olio was doing free services for queer couples. This venue went above and beyond to make sure our day was nothing short of perfect. They were not only accommodating but genuinely supportive and flexible with every request we had. From helping us with the lighting and guiding us on where to get the chairs, to allowing us to take photos inside before the ceremony because of the freezing weather, their kindness and attention to detail made us feel truly special. They even took behind-the-scenes photos and shared them with us, capturing moments we’ll treasure forever. A special shoutout to Sarah, who was always amazing with communication. She answered all our questions so quickly and with such warmth, which made everything so much easier and stress-free. The team made our elopement feel like an intimate celebration, and we couldn't be more grateful for their help in making our day so beautiful. Our wedding day & the planning leading up to it was absolutely perfect and we can't thank the Chicago Winery staff (especially our event manager Hulda!) enough for making our wedding come to life exactly as we dreamed it. The venue is gorgeous, our guests raved about the food/appetizers/cocktails/etc. and it is truly a night we will never forget. Being able to go outside to the cocktail hour terrace was also a huge plus to get people moving around and seeing new parts of the venue while the Chicago Winery staff transformed the whole space from ceremony to reception. We worked with Amy right after booking the space and she was so helpful in being a resource for us to bounce questions off of as we began planning. We utilized a lot of the preferred vendors (florist, DJ, etc.) that Chicago Winery recommended and they did not disappoint. Our event manager, Hulda, was soooooo helpful throughout the last 6 months of preparations and as our day-of manager - we could not have done it without her. She made sure the whole day was perfect and everything timeline-wise lined up exactly as we envisioned it. Can't recommend Chicago Winery enough! 1000000/10

We could not have asked for a better wedding experience at The Villa! Our coordinator, Lexie, was absolutely incredible—so attentive, organized, and genuinely caring from start to finish. She helped us with every detail of planning, made the entire process stress-free, and ensured everything ran perfectly on the big day. The experience felt so personal and completely tailored to our vision, while all the complicated, behind-the-scenes work was seamlessly handled. Thanks to Lexie, we were able to fully enjoy every moment of our day without a single worry. Also, we absolutely loved the Madera Ballroom and Garden, and the food was delicious!! The chef was so accommodating by being open to creating some dishes that were culturally significant to our families. At the turn of the century the company faced a crisis: the site of their mill would be flooded to form the Wachusett Reservoir. Instead of abandoning the mill, the company dismantled it brick by brick and shipped it to its new home in Easthampton, where it was rebuilt on the banks of the Lower Mill Pond. We had the absolute BEST experience having our wedding at The Boylston Rooms! Myles and Erin are an absolute dream team!! Even though we had the time of our lives at the wedding, it was bittersweet knowing our time working with them had come to a close. As a queer couple, when searching for venues it was important to us to have our wedding at a place that actively showcased LGBTQ couples and made us feel as though we would be accepted and celebrated. The moment we walked through the door and got to talking and touring with Myles, we knew The Boylston Rooms had to be our venue! From there, the planning process was so enjoyable! Not a lot of venues offer such careful, personalized attention along with a HUGE room of decor to help your day come to life. They were happy to let us visit whenever we wanted to take another look at their decor and all our emails and questions were answered promptly. When the wedding week finally came, we honestly weren’t even worried about things going wrong because Myles and Erin had everything under control! My wife and I both almost never feel that way, so thanks to them we were able to have fun, enjoy our day, and just be in love with being in love!!! Do yourself a favor and book this beautiful venue and work with this INCREDIBLE team. You really won’t regret it!!

We were absolutely thrilled with our experience at Walden Chicago. From the moment we toured the venue with Maria, we knew it was the perfect place for our November 2024 wedding. A huge added perk that we quickly learned was going to make a huge difference in our wedding planning experience was the included in-house planning team. Kalila and Alyssa supported us from beginning to end. Throughout the planning process both Kalila and Alyssa were attentive and responsive. Whether they were recommending vendors, answering one of many questions, helping us sort through rehearsal dinner options, or navigating final meetings and details they were with us through every step of the way. The online planning tool you gain access to through Walden helps you stay organized and makes sure you don’t forget any detail (big or small). When we had a slight mishap with our cake the day of the wedding they had already reached out to the bakery on our behalf before the wedding was over and a partial refund for the cake was secured by the next morning. Our wedding day ran smoothly thanks to Kalila and Alyssa. I felt as though I did not have to worry about a thing. The planning team handled all communication with vendors and kept us on schedule which allowed for us both to be very present on our big day. I have to highlight the spacious bridal suite as it was the perfect place to start the day. With 9 bridesmaids, a mother of the bride and a mother of the groom you naturally worry about any space feeling cramped but the separate getting ready stations and lounge area allowed everyone to be relaxed and comfortable the morning of the wedding and throughout the wedding day. This was also the perfect space to be tucked away post ceremony to enjoy our first moments together as newlyweds. Walden had our signature drinks and the appetizers waiting for us to enjoy a quiet moment alone before heading down to join our cocktail hour. The rooftop at golden hour made for some breathtaking photos, the ceremony space lit with candles crated the perfect ambiance for our Friday evening ceremony, and the cocktail and reception spaces decorated to fit our vision made for the most memorable day. After the tasting party a few months prior to the wedding, we knew the food and drinks were going to be a stand out part of the evening. Because we were given multiple options for appetizers, salads, mains and drinks, we were really able to personalize the menus to our taste. Guests raved about our food and drinks. We were told by nearly every guest that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Walden seamlessly accommodated various guests food restrictions and allergies as well. As we look back on our wedding day, all we can do is smile. The combination of the beautiful spaces, top-notch planning, and incredible food and drinks made our special day even more memorable. We highly recommend Walden to any couple looking to make their Chicago wedding dreams come true.

We booked The Sanctuary as our venue back in 2023 when they were just re-opening, and we have zero regrets! Every New Yorker should have this place on its radar! The very first day we were there with Fonsi, we knew we were in good hands! Everything was perfect: the pier set-up for the ceremony, the open bar, grazing table and passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour and finally the dessert table and pizza stations for the after party. The food was AMAZING and cooked on-site so it was as fresh as it can be! And then they seamlessly cleared out the cocktail area and transformed it into the dancefloor while we were all enjoying our dinner buffet in a separate tented pavillion. Shout out to Amelia, Frank, Artur, Cat, and the rest of their wonderful team!

Donauschwaben’s German-American Cultural Center is a banquet hall in the Cleveland, Ohio area. Couples don't need German heritage or lederhosen to enjoy the elegant splendor of this wedding venue. We are conveniently located 12 minutes from the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. Our Main Hall can accommodate 300+ guests for a wedding. There is a minimum of 150 guests required June-October and 125 guests all other months. It has high ceilings with beautiful lighting, a large dance floor and built-in stage perfect for a live band or DJ. There is also an attached patio that overlooks a lake and fountain. Our wedding packages start at $73 per person and include appetizers, dinner, open bar, chair covers, centerpiece options and more! The Wheeler House made my dream wedding come true! We just got married there this October and from the moment I finalized a date with them (which they book up QUICK) to the moment I walked down the aisle, they were 100% helpful, professional, friendly and on point! I worked mainly with Laiken throughout the process and then my day of coordinator, Emma, who was fantastic! I never knew how stressful planning a wedding would be, but it was worth every moment once the big day finally arrived. It was nice working with the preferred vendors that The Wheeler House uses, they all work together so well and it takes the stress out of planning. I live out of state so sadly I wasn't able to make it to one of their open houses, but every vendor I spoke to over the phone was very helpful and answered any questions that I had. You will not be disappointed if you choose The Wheeler House for your wedding day, it is an absolutely beautiful venue. The outdoor space for the ceremony is elegant and so pretty. The barn is gorgeous inside with a huge chandelier and fireplace. It's so amazing to see everything bare bones and then how it completely transforms once all the flowers, decor, food, people and music make everything come alive. The actual Wheeler House itself is the perfect backdrop for all the pictures, which really ties it all in. Our families also stayed in the cottages just down the road from the venue and it was the perfect touch! The cottages were so beautiful inside. Its perfect for families or the wedding parties to sleep and get ready in. We were happy we stayed there, it came in handy that they were so close. All my guests had so much fun, I received so many compliments on how perfect everything was and that it was one of the most beautiful weddings they've ever been too! I couldn't be happier or more pleased with our experience!! We had our wedding at The Red Barn this past May and everything was beyond perfect! Our wedding coordinator, Alex was so on top of everything during the planning stages and throughout the wedding itself. She is so incredible and we feel so lucky to have worked with her! The entire staff at The Red Barn was so amazing as well. The space is stunning and the food and drinks were incredible. We truly cannot say enough good things about The Red Barn! We had our reception and ceremony indoors and the fireplace backdrop was absolutely perfect. The space itself is beautiful and we really didn’t feel that we needed to do a ton of decorating which lessened stress and saved us on decor costs. However, all we really had to do was drop off what decorations we did have and Alex and her team took care of set up and breakdown with our vendors. We really didn’t have a single worry the weekend of the wedding. The amazing staff at The Red Barn took care of it all. We also stayed at Stage House Inn the weekend of the wedding and got ready there. Darien was a pleasure to work with and made coordinating room blocks so easy! The bridal suite comfortably fit all the girls getting ready (12 total people) plus 4 hair and makeup girls. It was also the perfect room for getting ready photos! We held our rehearsal lunch at The Links restaurant and the staff was so accommodating! We had a last minute reservation for around 25 and they took us no problem. Excellent and affordable food and drinks! Overall we had a perfect experience with every aspect of The Red Barn. We absolutely would recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect spot for their wedding!

The Pavilion on Crystal Lake and the Connecticut wedding group curated and developed the best day of our lives. Our wedding was a little over a month now and every time we see a friend it family member, we are overwhelmed with compliments and people telling us that our wedding was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. The trusted vendors they shared were excellent complements to the orchestration that CT wedding group provided. The food and drinks were spectacular ( literally the best wedding food I’ve ever had and we got to customize the menu). The venue was beautiful and it team plugged in anywhere they could to help the decor be cohesive and beautiful. The planning process was a, devoid of stress and fun the whole time! I cannot stress enough how important the staff was to our day especially Lexi and Dmitri- the nuance and meticulous detail they managed our wedding with showed a deep understanding of us as a couple and our vision- we truly felt like they were partners to us as we planned and they mostly managed the wedding planning experience (and we did this from out of state). We were able to incorporate some non traditional details with the help of this team to make our vision a reality such as a New Orleans style second line, playing guests wedding songs so they could dance during dinner and more! The day was absolutely perfect and when I tell you it was perfect, I mean it was everything we dreamed of and more. We were depressed for weeks after because of how much we missed it! I will never stop singing the praises of this team and what they did for us- if you want the wedding of your dreams, trust this team and this venue.

Last summer, Lake House Inn was the perfect place for my husband and me to have our wedding dream. Just like in a love story, the wedding at the lake looked amazing, and being under the stars for the reception was something special. The main star here, however, is Craig is the Marina Inn Keeper. During each moment, from the very beginning to the end, he was there, responding to people’s inquiries, easing anxiety, and seeing that everything was perfect. How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees. Some include catering, tables and chairs, and linens, while others offer just the raw space. These venues are often less expensive because you are only paying for the space itself, and you’ll have to bring in outside vendors
