Living Mindfully. I still remember every wedding moment I spent with my couples. I know its a momentous occasion to them. That's why I see it also through their eyes. I photographed my first wedding back in 2004. It was a multi-religion Indonesian Wedding in Washington, DC. In the morning the couple had their Catholic ceremony and a quaint reception at the Indonesian Diplomatic residence. Then in the afternoon they had the Muslim ceremony and a beautiful reception at the Intercontinental Hotel in DC. This was a good start to a fruitful wedding venture. From then on its been a glorious ride and I'm always looking forward to the next.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York...in a large and value-minded neighborhood, where the sense of community was part of everyday life. Surrounded by lessons of resilience, passion and kindness, and armed with a young man's exuberance for adventure, I traveled around the East Coast with a backpack in tow. Being pragmatic by nature, I found work as a line cook, sous chef and butcher...a far cry from the creative field I would eventually find a home.
