Our wedding business started out with me shooting a wedding video for a very dear friend of mine in 2017. I posted the video to a Facebook business page and BOOM! It received 200,000 views and we started receiving hundreds of inquiries from couples around the PNW. Every year I would book 30-40 weddings doing photo and video for couples. When COVID struck, we had a year crashing into the next year. We had to adapt. So I grew our company to 8 teams of pro photographers/videographers to cover weddings around the US. When I first started shooting lots of weddings, I would wake up the next day after a shoot and my wife would ask me how went. “It was insanely cool, and everybody there seemed like SUCH GOOD FOLK,” was a phrase I would almost always use to describe a somewhat ineffable feeling of being surrounded by GOODNESS. Goodness is often found at weddings, and it’s that goodness that we try to find with our cameras, microphones, lights, eyeballs and ears. That's how I came up with the name of my business. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Edward Lau’s passion for storytelling and filmmaking began at a young age. His journey into the world of cinema led him to SFSU, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Cinema. After graduation, Edward later returned to HK, where he immersed himself in both the television and film industries. Edward has pursued his own creative projects, producing and directing several independent films.
