Hope Glen Farm

  • Up to 280 guests

  • Outdoor & indoor
  • Starts at $1,500

In 1910, President Taft signed the bill to establish Glacier National Park as the country’s 10th national park. Mr. Healy was given a plumbing contractor for the train depot here in St. Paul, where he met Samuel Bartlett, the architect of many of the railroad depots and Glacier National Park Lodge. Healy then commissioned Bartlett to renovate and enlarge the house. In 1914, the farm was sold to John Healy, the owner of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company of St. Paul. Mr. Healy’s company became closely tied to the Great Northern Railroad, as it provided the heating and plumbing for many of the train depots that were being built around the country at that time. The farm was named Hope Glen Farm, the name of John Healy’s mother’s maiden name of Hope, and the house settles in a Glen, thus Hope Glen.

Hope Glen Farm was the perfect choice for our wedding venue. From the very first communication, the team was clear, detailed, and incredibly personable. They went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our special day was executed flawlessly. The coordination meetings leading up to the wedding, along with the helpful client portal, kept us on track and confident that everything would be perfect. On the day of, the staff was amazingly helpful and attentive - Eryka in particular was a true godsend, keeping us organized and responsive to our every need. The Bridal Bliss decor package they offer is a must, as the venue looked absolutely beautiful and pristine. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and feel the value we received was worth every penny. Plus a wedding night in a Tree House or Corn Crib Cottage? How can you beat that?! We highly recommend Hope Glen Farm to any couple looking for a stress-free, stunning wedding celebration.

Beautiful, charming, full of options/amenities, and an easy-to-work-with venue owner. Yes, please. I toured a handful of places in MN before I signed up for the Barn at Ballard Creek. Other venues were either too expensive for what you get, the people weren't as approachable or as communicative, or as beautiful location-wise. I love the big red barn, the cottage to get ready in, the cows, the flowers, the big tree where I was married, and more. There's plenty of parking. It's clean. Lindsey helped me figure out how to make the wedding work for my vision and budget. I like that I wasn't forced to pick a specific caterer too. 5 stars all around. Have your event here! It's perfect.

We used the Capitol Room for both our Ceremony and Reception and it was absolutely perfect! The space is stunning and holds a lot of character. We had plenty of space for both my wife and I to get ready in two separate suites. There was a separate space for everyone to enjoy cocktail hour while the room was flipped for the reception and dance. From the minute we toured the space we knew it was where we wanted to have our wedding. Sitting down with Megan was an absolute delight. We hired her for her day of coordinator services as well and she took care of everything. She made the room stunning and we didn’t have to worry about anything. She was extremely professional, she was in constant communication with us and even took our call the night before at 10pm when our officiant quit on us last minute. She helped us through the situation and calmed our nerves. The day of the ceremony it felt like we were working with one of our close friends by our sides. We can’t recommend Megan and the Capitol Room enough!!

The Monterey Ballroom was an absolute dream for our wedding! From the moment we first inquired, their communication was fast, open, and incredibly helpful. The venue itself is gorgeous, with both indoor and outdoor spaces that provided the perfect setting for our special day. What really made them stand out though was their incredible attention to detail - they helped us decorate the space beautifully, and even gifted us mimosa supplies for the morning of the wedding! The owner, Mike, was amazing and made sure everything went so smoothly. We also loved that they had outdoor games for our guests to enjoy. As a father of a bride, I could not have been more happy about the choice my daughter and her now husband made in choosing North Star Farm Event Center for their wedding. It was amazing! Everything went so smoothly the entire day. Rebecca and Scott along with their staff have this down. Rebecca was their to answer any questions, she helped with vendor suggestions from catering, photographers to the DJ. They had a lot of decor for my daughter to choose from and use. The setup there is perfect. Everything about that day just flowed, including the property itself and in the blink of an eye it was over. They helped pack our things up at the end of the night, they took care of cleaning up, I was back in my hotel before I knew it. I highly recommend North Star Farm to any parent whose child is looking for a venue. They made my life so much easier and really stress free that whole day.
