“We have nothing but the highest praise for Jillian and enthusiastically recommend her! We did an engagement photoshoot, bridal portraits, and 9.5 hours of wedding coverage, so we worked with her quite a bit and have an abundance of high-quality, stunning pictures from these important moments. Overall, Jillian is an incredibly talented, reliable photographer with the personality, professionalism, and wedding know-how to match. We interviewed several photographers and immediately hit it off with Jillian and were impressed by her answers to our many questions about her equipment, protocols, and experience. I told her I wanted an assertive photographer that would direct us, our wedding party and family, and keep us on schedule (my nightmare was having to be HBIC at my own wedding). We needed help keeping poses natural and fresh (also keeping photo-reluctant family members engaged and smiling). She delivered on these fronts and more. More than just capturing great photos, Jillian gave us a fun, stress-free photography experience. That's important considering how much time is spent on photos (and given you want to enjoy your wedding day, too, even while taking photos)! While my husband doesn't like taking photos, due to the way Jillian strategized our timeline and kept things upbeat, he only got tired at one point right before dinner (and of course those are some of our best photos!). She has the perfect balance between being friendly and fun (we love talking with her!) and getting stuff done. In addition, Jillian learned what was important to me and followed through in the photos as far as what I wanted photographed, how I wanted things to look, the overall vibe, etc. This also includes her attention to details— she took care to ensure stray hairs were fixed, sweat was dabbed off, bow ties were on straight, etc. so those little things wouldn't distract from the perfect shot. Her second shooter at the wedding, Molly, was terrific and helped a lot with these details as well. As a perfectionist, this was so appreciated. Wedding photos are so critical: You can't really go back and redo wedding photos if things don't go right or if you don't get everything captured that you want. The photos are a full coverage of all the main moments, events, and visual details from the wedding— nothing is missing (the issue is picking favorites!). We are beyond thrilled with our photos and even two months later, our family and guests still marvel at how many fantastic photos there are and how quick the turnaround was. We are so thankful for Jillian as we have gorgeous, high-quality photos of the most important day of our lives.
