Hi, I'm Lilli, a British/Danish baker based in NY. I left a career in design consulting because I was bursting with ideas for truly unique cakes that tell personal stories. I journeyed around the world to train in my favourite restaurants and bakeries, like Rochelle Canteen in London, and Blue Hill at Stone Barns in New York. There I learned discipline and craft, but what I really discovered was the joy of creating really meaningful, personal moments. And Lilli Maren Bakes was born!

Here is the corner stone of our house, Mr. Armando Leyva. At the very young age of 23, along side his wife Mrs. Lorely Leyva, they decided to follow in his fathers foot steps and enter the bakery business. Still a novice to the bakery world, he leaned on his fathers many years of expeciece as a bread master. Much to his surpise the bakery was much more than just breads, soon they would discover many talents needed to be learned and fast.

Four & Twenty Blackbirds is a pie bakery founded in Brooklyn in 2009 by sisters and pie makers Melissa Elsen and Emily Elsen. We make beautiful handmade pies, using seasonal and fresh ingredients sourced from local orchards.

When they moved to Park Slope, Brooklyn in 2003, they noticed a need for a dessert café on quickly changing Fifth Avenue. After reading an inspirational book on chocolate, they decided to create a café specializing in high-end chocolate, extraordinary desserts, handmade ice creams, dessert wines and beers from all over the world, as well as superb coffee.
