As a Life-Cycle Celebrant I am a trained ceremony specialist. I help people create ceremonies that are meaningful, authentic and beautiful. I am also an ordained InterFaith Minister. I honor all philosophies, beliefs and traditions--religious, secular, spiritual, interfaith and multicultural. My intention is always for you to have a ceremony that creates lasting connections in your family and community, one that your guests remember for years to come.

Since being ordained in 1990, I’ve officiated at hundreds of weddings – from huge to small. I’ve led weddings with traditional organ music and weddings with children singing in a meadow; interfaith services and same-sex ceremonies. I enjoy getting to know you so that I can help you plan the ceremony to say what you want to say, with readings and music and rituals that evoke your values. I can guide you through the process of writing your own vows, help you choose vows from traditional to contemporary, or write vows for you.

My region ranges from Asheville NC, Southwestern Virginia, through Morristown Tn, into Gatlinburg, then all the way into Knoxville Tn! I am an ordained minister based in the Charlotte metropolitan area. I've served a local church as a minister and music director in the region for over 20 years. I've had over 30 years experience of helping couples plan and facilitate their wedding ceremony, in grand or intimate venues, either as an officiant or as a musician. I grew up in a small town outside of Athens, GA and graduated from the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS) in 1995 with a Bachelor of Music degree concentrating in piano and voice. I've been married since 2006 to my wife, Ellen and we have three beautiful children: Kate, Meredith, and Owen.
