About this venue
Weatherhead Hollow is a historic Vermont farmstead created for unhurried wedding weekends. Exchange vows beneath an ancient maple tree, gather for cocktails and lawn games in the barnyard, and celebrate in a restored bank barn – a rare Vermont design built into the hillside. Couples have exclusive access to the property for a multi-day stay, with space to host several moments across the weekend rather than compressing everything into a single day. We host just 12 weddings each year (May–October), each reserved as a private, three-night experience. Your stay includes on-site accommodations for up to 12 guests, along with full access to the barn and grounds. Weatherhead Hollow is best suited for couples who value time, flexibility, and ease – and who want the freedom to shape their celebration at their own pace. Outside of weddings, the farmstead offers fully funded artist residencies — a commitment to beauty, care, and craft reflected throughout the property.

Our historic bank barn – a rare Vermont design built into the hillside – anchors the property. Inside, a 40×60 event hall hosts up to 150 guests for a seated dinner, with space for a dance floor, band or DJ, and an adjoining corn crib bar. Just outside, the barnyard flows into rolling fields and a 200+ year old maple tree ceremony site, framed by flowering vines and sweeping views of the hollow.

Weatherhead Hollow- A perfect Venue
From the moment we first inquired about hosting our wedding at Weatherhead Hollow, the team was responsive, kind, and incredibly thoughtful in their approach. They asked all the right questions to ensure every aspect of our special day was well-planned and executed flawlessly. Being able to enjoy the space from Thursday- Sunday allowed us to truly soak up all of the emotions and made it so we could truly enjoy our wedding day with the majority of setup being done the days before. On the day of, their attention to detail was truly magical - they made sure all signage was perfectly placed to guide our guests, and the flow of the event from the historic homes to the dreamy barn and cocktail hour space was seamless. The entire Weatherhead Hollow property has a historic yet whimsical feel that created the most romantic and memorable setting for our wedding. We cannot recommend this venue enough and would absolutely choose to have our wedding here again if we could.

Katherine and Daniel's Weatherhead Hollow is a magical Vermont wedding venue. Their direct and caring communication style made planning our big day a breeze. The venue was clean, beautiful, and oozed New England charm with its rustic barns and sweeping mountain views. On our wedding day, Katherine and Daniel checked in frequently to ensure everything ran smoothly. Guests raved about the gorgeous property for our ceremony and the cozy barn for dancing the night away under twinkly lights. Beautiful Location and a Great Team
I always look forward to photographing engagement photos and weddings at Weatherhead Hollow. The setting is beautiful—the barn, the various houses, and the surrounding area—and both Katherine and Daniel are a delight to work with. There is a genuine patina of history throughout the property—a photographer's dream—coupled with an elegance and artistry that is the perfect backdrop for engagement and wedding images. My experience of photographing at Weatherhead Hollow is that the final images are not only going to reflect the natural beauty of Vermont, but also the joy the wedding party and guests experience in such a special place.
