About this venue
Located across the Wabasha Street bridge from downtown St. Paul, The Lowlands is a stunning venue with endless possibilities. Our space offers over 10,000 square feet of event space, customizable to make it your own. The expansive, light-flooded upper level is beautiful for ceremonies and meals for up to 250 guests, while the lower level lounge, with a beautiful & unique terrarium feature, is perfect for your cocktail hour and reception. Highlighted amenities include a uniquely designed bar on each level, two green rooms, an outdoor terrace with views of the downtown skyline, and a sunken patio for a more intimate place to enjoy a cocktail or conversation.

Light-filled upper level with expansive windows, terrace access, and a full bar.
The upper level is filled with natural light from numerous giant windows and offers direct access to the outdoor terrace, grand front entrance, creating a bright and setting throughout the day. It's truly a blank slate with an open layout that you can make your own. The space works beautifully for ceremonies and dinner, and with a full bar and easy indoor-outdoor flow, your guest will move easily between both levels, both inside and out.

Two private green rooms designed with brides in mind. Light-filled, comfortable, and perfect for getting ready with your closest people.
Fully furnished with high ceilings and natural light, our green rooms offer a calm, comfortable place to get ready before the big day or take a quiet moment in the midst of the celebration. One larger room, typically used for a bridal suite, features a private bathroom along with multiple chairs and mirrors, making it ideal for hair, makeup, and getting-ready moments.

Lower Level + Ladyslipper Lounge
Home to the Lady Slipper Lounge, Terrarium, and a full bar, the lower level becomes the heart of the reception for dancing, toasts, and celebration.
The lower level features the Lady Slipper Lounge and Terrarium, a beautiful plant-filled space. Our grand circular staircase connects the levels and leads guests down to the full bar, lounge seating, and dance floor, where the reception really comes to life. It’s an easygoing space designed for cocktails, conversation, late-night dancing, and also provides access to our sunken patio.

LOVE LOVE working with Lowlands!
We've been working at Lowlands since they opened and have loved every event with them! As a caterer, the guests don't know the difference between us and the venue. So it's very important for us to be a seamless team with a venue! And that's exactly the relationship we have at Lowlands! They're team players and we're all here to make the clients day the best it can possibly be!

The Lowlands is an exceptional choice for your wedding. Our staff loves to work at this beautiful and unique space. Their communication is always prompt and friendly throughout the entire process. The quality of their work and the overall value is exceptional - the experienced staff goes above and beyond to ensure your special day is perfect. Whether a small, intimate gathering or huge celebration, The Lowlands has an option for you. We continue to be pleased with our experience at The Lowlands and would highly recommend them to any couple searching for the ideal wedding venue.
Favorite wedding venue
As wedding planners, The Lowlands is one of our favorite venues to work at. Their communication style is responsive and detailed, which makes planning a breeze. The venue itself is so naturally beautiful, with an upstairs space and a downstairs space that have two different vibes - it's a unique and flexible setting. The catering options are great, and the getting ready spaces are a huge plus. And the staff is next level - they really go above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly.
