About this venue

Cold Creek Farm is a family-owned wedding venue nestled in the heart of North Georgia, lovingly operated by Jeff and Susan Buffington. Originally purchased in 2011 with the dream of building a working farm filled with animals, the property has since grown into something even more special. Through years of vision, dedication, and hard work, it has blossomed into one of North Georgia’s most beloved wedding venues. As guests arrive, they’re welcomed by horses and donkeys grazing peacefully in the front pasture beside the entrance, which proudly displays the farm’s name. Towering oaks, whispering pines, and rolling hills surround the barn, creating a breathtaking and timeless backdrop. Inside, the barn exudes warmth and rustic elegance, thoughtfully designed to bring each event to life. The ceremony space - once a riding ring - is now transformed with a charming white arbor and handcrafted pews, creating an enchanting setting where couples begin their forever.

Cold Creek Farm was the perfect venue for our wedding day. From our very first interaction, the team was incredibly responsive, personal, and positive in their communication style. They checked in with us multiple times leading up to the big day to ensure everything was running smoothly and up to their high standards. On the day of, the venue was absolutely beautiful - spacious, magical, and impeccably well-decorated, creating the perfect backdrop for our special celebration. We were blown away by the level of care and attention to detail that the Cold Creek Farm team provided, making our wedding day truly unforgettable. Yes! We have two large parking lots on-site to accommodate all of your wedding guests.

Yes! We do ask you use our bartenders, but you can bring in whichever special drinks you'd like. We do not provide any alcohol, special mixers, or garnishes.

The only vendors required through our venue include bartending services, a Security Officer (1 per every 150 guests), and an event coordinator. We allow outside vendors (vendors not on our preferred vendor list), such as caterers, florists, photographers, etc..

Yes! Event Liability AND Liquor Liability Insurance is required for all events with a minimum total liability limit of $500,000. We recommend a service, named Markel, that will set this up, costing $150. This will need to be submitted to the venue 60 days before your event date.

We are major animal lovers so our venue is pet-friendly. On our property, we have dogs, cats, chickens, horses, and donkeys. If you’d like to include animals in your event, please let us know so we can make the best arrangements and ensure your pet is up-to-date on all vaccinations!

Our wedding venue is best suited to serve a maximum of 250 guests.

Our large reception space ensures that your wedding will be gorgeous even if it’s on a rainy day. In the event of rain, we design your altar space in front of our gorgeous barn doors. During cocktail hour, we seamlessly flip the space for your reception!

We offer the flexibility to allow you to get married any day, aside from a few major holidays. Most of our couples choose Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays, and between 4-7 PM for a ceremony start time. Our packages are built around a 12 hour access period, typically 10 AM - 10 pm, however hours can be adjusted as needed. All events must conclude by 1 AM.

Yes, every wedding package includes a 1-hour ceremony rehearsal on our property. Your rehearsal is scheduled based on availability of the venue, however typically occurring on the day before or the morning of your wedding.

Yes! We love when couples spend their wedding night in The Treehouse. This beautiful, secluded house right off the creek is the perfect intimate space to spend your first night as a married couple. In fact, our All-Inclusive Elegance package include a stay in the Treehouse! We also offer 5 cottages, sleeping a maximum of 10 additional overnight guests.

For both wedding packages, a signed rental agreement packet consisting of our contract, rules & regulations, and alcohol & drug policy is required to book your date. You must also complete an initial deposit of 25% for our All-Inclusive Elegance package, and 50% for our Venue-Only package.

Yes! We have a fully equipped Bridal Suite and Groom’s Cabin so both the bridal party and groomsmen can get ready on-site. Our wedding packages include a 10 AM arrival on your wedding day!

Our All-Inclusive wedding package includes an invite to our Quarterly Vendor Experiences so you can sample all the possible tastes, sounds, and sights of your wedding day. During these evening gatherings, you, your partner, and several family members are invited to meet all our vendors. This includes caterers, bakers, DJs, florists, coordinators, and so much more. This will also give you the chance to ask any questions and find the best vendors for your special day. Our All-Inclusive wedding packages make it easy for you and your partner to plan an incredible wedding day!

Our All-Inclusive wedding package come with tables, chairs, and linens to outfit your reception. Included linen colors are Black, White, or Ivory, with additional fees for any speciality colors. Our Venue-Only wedding package includes tables and chairs, however linens will need to be added on if you would prefer we provide them!

Cold Creek Farm has a huge inventory of décor options including vases, glassware, candlesticks, votives, and so much more. We have accumulated a wide range of decor to compliment any wedding style. However, you are also welcome to bring any of your own décor pieces to add unique touches to your ceremony or reception. We’ll ensure each of your personal décor items is returned to you following your wedding.

Yes, we love when couples use our roomy dance floor, DJ space, and disco ball to dance and celebrate!

For guests, yes, our venue is wheelchair accessible! The ceremony space, reception space, and outdoor patio are wheelchair accessible. However, our Bridal Suite, Groom's Cabin, and overnight accommodations are not.

While our All-Inclusive wedding package pricing is not effected by peak/off-peak seasons (only by day of the week), our Venue-Only wedding package pricing is broken up by the following months: PEAK SEASON (April, May, June, September, October, November) MID SEASON (March, July, August) LOW SEASON (January, February, December) Please inquire for exact pricing by day/month!
