Hi. I’m Josh. Our work is based in Washington, DC, often in San Francisco and we’re happy to travel. The best photographs are simple, unobtrusive, and spontaneous. Memory fills in the gaps - this is how authentic photography captivates us. We've always sought to remember things exactly how they happened - how we felt. The goal is to unobtrusively document your day through artful frames. I'm a firm believer there is no single best photographer anywhere in the world - but there are artist the align with your vision. Wedding - 8 Hours

Peak pricing $6,500
Off-peak pricing $6,500
The package includes two photographers, overnight preview photos, 1000+ complete gallery photos, a couples portrait session either before or after the wedding and 4 years of website hosting with print, sharing and download capabilities. Wedding - 5 Hours

As with everything we offer, our wedding package is simple and scalable. It's $3500 for the first 5 hours and $1000 for every hour thereafter up to the 10th hour. The 11th hour onwards is $600. Elopement - 2 Hours

Elopements are weddings with fewer than 5 guests. Each additional hour is $500. Portrait Session A

Our portrait session is simple, scalable and uncompromising. Package A is designed for those who need fewer photos. The session begins at $250 and includes 30-minutes, 2 edited portraits and is available in Columbia, MD. The travel fee to DC, Baltimore and anywhere in between is $100. Each additional edited portrait is $100.

Mother of the bride
My daughter and son-in-law had chosen Josh to photograph their wedding, and we were absolutely thrilled with their choice. Josh is an incredibly hard-working and talented photographer who poured his heart into the process of creating a beautiful final product. His stamina and energy on the wedding day were unmatched. He was very aware of all that was happening and yet remained so calm and approachable through the whole process. He has a genuine way of putting people at ease bringing about very natural smiles and poses. Josh is not only an authentically kindhearted person, but he also has a great eye for design using light and color in beautiful ways. It was evident that he listened to what the bride and groom were hoping to capture. We highly recommend Joshua Fernandez Photography!
Sincere, passionate, and candid - hire Josh!
When looking for our wedding photographer, we wanted someone whose photos would help us feel like we were in the moment and capture the spirit of the day. Josh did just that. His documentary, candid-style photography delivered photos that tell a story and are energetic, lively, and fun. From our first meeting through the end, we could tell he is passionate about his craft and genuinely loves what he does. Especially with one of us being more hesitant about taking photos, we appreciated Josh’s sincerity and transparency throughout the whole process. He also was very accommodating of special requests, like taking a group photo of everyone who attended after the ceremony, keeping a dance a surprise, and creating two separate albums so some photos could stay private. We are thrilled to have chosen Josh and highly recommend him!
An amazing experience with Josh!
Josh is an incredible photographer, and our family is so grateful to have worked with him! He was completely professional throughout the process while remaining entirely approachable and friendly for our entire family. He has a very calming and encouraging presence and was able to get so many amazing photos of our family. Josh is wonderful with children as well, and was really able to engage our infant daughter throughout the session for some great photos! We cannot recommend Josh and his team highly enough. It was a privilege to have him as our photographer.
Wonderful autumn family portrait
Our family had a wonderful experience with Josh for our first family portrait. Josh was incredibly approachable, kind, and responsive from the beginning, scheduling time with us before the session to get to know us, help select a location, and address any questions. Afterwards, Josh kept in contact with us, considering the time of day so that our baby would be most comfortable and was very flexible to ensure we had the best experience. The session went wonderfully and the photos were beautiful. Josh was able to capture many special moments. We look forward to working with Josh for future family portraits.
