My name is Amy and I'm the owner and operator of The Traveling Stylist (TTS). Although I no longer service wedding day hair and makeup, I am the coordinator on the other end. I work closely with each amazing stylist and bride to ensure bride and/or client gets the most professional, personal, and pampering experience! I will guide you through each step of the booking process and ensure things run smoothly from start to finish! In essence, when you hire The Traveling Stylist, you get a coordinator AND a hair/MU artist for one price!

What sets our team apart from other H/MUA is that we know how to listen. Anyone can learn to apply makeup and style hair, but our powerhouse team of talent understands and takes the time to listen, reflect, and ensure that the client and stylist are on the same page. We value what our client's want-not what we think they will want. We know how difficult it can be to articulate aesthetics, so we take our time & patience to learn as much as we can about our client's needs & expectations. We also set ourselves apart by offering a coordinator (me:) to help with all of the details, on-going questions, contract, timeline and more!

Yes. Anywhere in the Sacramento area there is $30 travel fee. For the Bay or surrounding areas, it starts at $75. We do not make ANY profit off of the travel fees. Our stylists spend 2-3 hours driving + the ever increasing cost of gas prices + tolls.

Yes. We've been fortunate enough have been in business for over 13 years and have a strong reputation that we are very humbled and proud of. As a result, our stylists usually book every weekend and to make it equitable for all, we do require a 3 person H/MU or 6-services minimum.

Yes. When you have 5-H/MU services or 10 services total, you qualify for 10% discount. With 6-H/MU services or 12 services total, you qualify for 10% discount AND a 2nd stylist at no extra charge. With 9-H/MU services or 18 services total, you qualify for 10% discount AND a 3rd stylist at no extra charge.

Yes. Our team is made up of ethnically diverse women from all backgrounds (Latina, Black, Greek, Indian, and more!) not only do we personally understand how to work with a variety of. hair and skin types, but after being in business for over 13 years, we have a strong background and specialization in this!

Yes. An extra stylist is $275.

We try to have brand loyalty and avoid using too many products we do not have a solid foundation, understanding and experience with using. That said, most stylists use: MAC, Urban Decay, Marykay (for sensitive skin), Bare Essentials, and a few other supplemental brands.

We can travel up to 4-5 hours away from Sacramento. Any distance after 3 hours, we request brides offer a hotel room for stylists, as this highly reduces any day-of hiccups and / or worries on the bride's end.

I loved my experience with Adela! She and Angel made my wedding day so special. They provided hair and make up for myself (bride) and 5 other women. They were able to complete their service in just over 5 hours (which was the predicted timeline). Everyone had more than enough time to get their hair and make up done and feel comfortable! It was the perfect experience!

I used stylist Adela and she was amazing. From the day I met her for me trail to the day of the wedding it was all seamless, professional, and perfect. I was dead set on having a braid in my hair and bridesmaids, so they set me up with Adela. Perfect match. She is so nice and easy to talk to. It felt stress free having her as my stylist. Her team for the day was amazing as well. They were adaptable and professional and I couldn't ask for better on my wedding day!

Adela and her assistant Angel were both so sweet and professional. They drove all the way to Oakley for our special day. I felt so beautiful and special, and all my bridesmaids looked amazing. I loved my look- it was natural and yet had an old Hollywood glam style which I wanted. Thank you!
