Hello! We are the Magic is in the Makeup! I am Liz, the Owner and Lead Stylist. I have been doing Makeup for 19 years and Styling Hair for 10 years. Helping people feel like the most beautiful versions of themselves is why I do what I do! I love beauty and am passionate about helping every Bride and Bridal Guest feel their best on their Special Day. My team members are just as experienced and have similar training, as well as passion! I attended and graduated from The Empire Academy of Makeup and worked for and was trained by MAC cosmetics, Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier. We would love to be the ones to put the final touches on you!

What sets us apart from other Artists and Beauty Teams is our years of experience, our commitment to our clients and our custom shade mixing abilities. We also offer decorate hair pieces for Hair Styling. Lashes are included with all of our Makeup Services as well.

    DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Please, do your research on FB or google before hiring. I sadly did not. BIG MISTAKE.

    Elle or Liz we don’t really know what her real name is because she has different forms of identification. We have looked up her reviews all the way from Tennessee and this lady is an absolute scam!! The makeup artist is Lindsay was very nice, but her work was really awful. Do not spend your money or waste your time dealing with Elle or Liz. She is a horrible communicator defensive about everything and does not listen to what your needs or wants are. I almost felt like she was racist, considering that half of our party came from ethnic background she did not understand how to do make up or hair with texture. She was condescending and absolutely rude throughout the entire process. She had mentioned and promised us 3 to 4 girls, but only showed up with her and the make up artist she end up, leaving really early, which left the bride’s hair super flat hours before the wedding. We actually had paid her an extra hundred dollars to come to the venue and complete the brides hair right before walking down the aisle but even when she left the first time we were not satisfied with the hair and we told her we were not she said she has some idea ideas and would come to the venue to fix it. Upon arriving to the venue, she cornered one of the bridesmaids who arranged the entire bridal party hair and make up and was trying to scold her because one of the other bridesmaids did not want to continue makeup with Lindsay as she felt she could not do the job that she wanted, and there was no time to redo it. I was their witness to everything every conversation and the time of arrival and the time of partying I also was witnessed to one of the bridesmaids, kindly telling the makeup artist that she would rather just do it herself instead of wasting her time. The bride ended up, completing her own hair an hour before she walked down the aisle myself ended up redoing three of the girls hairs, and two of the girls make up. I was the maid of honor and I was determined to make sure that my sister had a beautiful wedding so I did not focus on myself that day getting my own self ready but redoing and completing what we had paid for. It was a waste of almost 1000 and a waste of about six hours of our time on the day of the wedding After reading reviews and finding more information about this person, Liz, we highly regret and do not recommend her services or trust her. Also, I don’t even think she’s licensed.

    I'm very disappointed with the service and quality from The Magic is in the Makeup. The communication was very poor, and the results were inconsistent. They let us down on our special day - the owner was argumentative when a bridesmaid expressed concern, and the bride had to do her own hair at the last minute because they didn't finish the job. We paid in full and expected professional services, but instead encountered unprofessionalism. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this vendor at all. I've never written a negative review, but I feel compelled to share my experience to save other brides from a similar disappointment.

    When I got engaged, Liz is who I automatically knew I wanted to do my wedding day makeup and she did such a phenomenal job! Anytime that I need my makeup & hair done professionally for various events, she is the only one who I trust to do the job. What I love most is that she listens to what I'm wanting and the end result is always perfect, and I still look & feel like myself. I wish I could hire her to do my hair & makeup every day!
