Spinner Music Productions was founded in 2002 by a suburban Boston kid with a dream. A dream to stay away from the typical 9 to 5 work week and far, far away from a cubicle. A dream to enjoy working while experiencing all that life has to offer, specifically life’s greatest moments. What started out as a backyard DJ company has grown into an industry-recognized award-winning Team of entertainment professionals living out that very dream.

Elegant night out in Boston meets IBIZA!!!

DJ Buono & DJ Tavo & crew were absolutely incredible!! As a news reporter, I can appreciate producing a SHOW and that is exactly what they put on! This was SO much MORE than a great wedding!! From the first phone call, DJ Tavo's excitement and attention to detail was top tier. DJ Buono helped sculpt our ENTIRE reception & even gave us the idea to have dinner become more of a performance with our violinist. They immediately welcomed her into the mix and it made for the BEST time!! You would have thought she worked with them nightly. This was an elegant night out in Boston meets IBIZA!! We could barely sit still to eat because we were all dancing in our seats!! I have never seen guests rush the dance floor like this. (& I've once been to 13 weddings in a single year) To the point, we had to tell some of them to sit down so we could do parent dances!! People literally could not wait to start dancing/celebrating!! We cannot believe this was our WEDDING!!! & it wouldn't have been the same without Black Diamond Event Production! People are still messaging us to say this was the best wedding they've ever been to! Not only is this team so talented that it is almost out of this world, they are also good people. People you'd want sitting at your table, people you'd want in your corner, and people you will want to keep in touch with forever. DJ Tavo sent us our dinner and reception mixes as they played the night of our wedding almost immediately. Which means we can keep reliving this night!! It was such a sweet surprise. We will never forget this & will be recommending them to all of our friends and family. We will scream it from the top of Boston's Prudential Center (where our reception was) if we have to! Not to mention, this was the FIRST ever full wedding reception up there (with this guest count) and they took on the challenge with EASE!! Book Black Diamond Event Production!! You won't regret it!!! We used Black Diamond for our wedding and they were extremely organized and professional. We worked with David and from the very beginning he was great to work with, super responsive and consistently offering helpful recommendations on our timeline, music, lighting, and overall flow. The music and vibe were exactly what we wanted, and we (along with all of our guests) had such a fun night. We’ve heard from so many guests that the music was incredible. Highly recommend Black Diamond!

Our wedding DJ was one of the most important decisions for us and we are so glad we chose Black Diamond! Our dance floor stayed packed from start to finish with people of all ages & so many of our guests told us how impressed they were with our DJs! They did a great job mixing music, keeping things fun, MCing, and taking our music taste/requests into consideration. Our phone calls with David leading up to the wedding were also SO helpful. He’s easy to talk to and had awesome advice for all aspects of the day. You can tell he knows weddings and knows how to make them FUN!

We would hire Black Diamond Event Production a million times over! We were married in September 2025 and worked with DJ David Buono on planning our big day. He and his team (Gavin, Michael, Tommy, Mikey) were so helpful, organized, and professional throughout the entire process, and the energy they brought to our dance floor exceeded all expectations. Our dance floor and music were a top priority for our wedding, and BDEP came highly recommended by another one of our vendors. From our first call with David, we knew he and his team were the perfect fit. They were somehow able to cover all bases - we weren’t sure that both keeping our 88 year old grandparents dancing and incorporating our favorite SoundCloud remixes at one event was possible, but David and his team somehow made it happen. We - and our guests - couldn’t have had a better time on the dance floor and we continue to hear such great things almost 2 months later. Beyond the music, they were so skilled at coordinating with our other vendors and helping with the flow of the evening. We also used BDEP’s lighting and photo booth and both were great additions! We will be the ones begging all of our just-engaged friends to hire BDEP so that we can attend another event DJ’d by them as soon as possible. If having a packed dance floor and a DJ team that just gets it are important to you in the wedding planning process, you will have no regrets going with BDEP!
