Mel was an incredible part of our wedding day and reception. From the ceremony through the evening, everything flowed smoothly and felt well-paced, which allowed us and our guests to fully relax and enjoy the night. Transitions were seamless, announcements were clear and professional, and the music fit each moment perfectly. When it was time for the dance floor to open, the energy was exactly what we hoped for - fun, engaging, and natural. Our guests stayed on the dance floor and are still talking about how much fun they had. What we appreciated most about Mel was how well she read the room. She adjusted effortlessly as the night unfolded and kept everything moving without ever feeling overbearing or scripted. The focus stayed exactly where it should be - on the celebration. We’re so grateful for the role Mel played in creating such a memorable reception and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a DJ who brings great energy while keeping the night running smoothly and stress-free.

We loved our experience with Adagio (and specifically Mel). Adagio did a great job helping us prepare for our wedding and gave us a lot of say in the playlist. During the reception, Mel did a great job coordinating the flow of the evening and kept the dance floor full. I really appreciated her ability to read the room and keep the night going smoothly!

Adagio Djay Entertainment was the perfect choice for our wedding! We had DJ Dan and he was absolutely incredible - he kept our guests dancing all night long with an energetic and engaging set. Dan did a fantastic job of sticking to the playlist we had discussed, while also reading the room and adding his own professional touches to keep the dance floor packed. Our guests raved about how much fun they had, and we couldn't have asked for a better DJ to make our special day so memorable. We highly recommend Adagio Djay Entertainment!!

We were a little nervous about selecting a DJ for our wedding in part because we don’t live in the city where we were married. DJs can be so hit or miss in my experience at past events. Adagio was terrific. Shout out to Isaiah who is so calm and laid back, a real pleasure to work with. He was considerate and took our sample playlist and made it better. He really understood the tone and pacing of the wedding and the enhanced everything. The dance floor was active all night! Thank you.

Schedule a quick call on our home page to get all setup! A $300 non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your date. The retainer must be made with a credit or debit card number. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover and AMEX.

The balance is due 14 days prior to the event, either by credit card or mailing a check to the office. Our DJs are unable to accept credit/debit cards the day of your event so if you wish to put a balance on your card, please log into your account to pay online.

We are recommended by most event sites in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. We understand the acoustical challenges of sites like The Landmark, John P. Furber Farm, Depot Minneapolis, Camrose Hill Flower Farm, J.J. Hill Library, Aria, and The Machine Shop to name a few, as well as the more intimate settings such as The University Club on Summit, The Grand Hotel, and other smaller rooms. Our DJ sound systems are designed to provide the clarity, fullness of sound, and reasonable volume levels for any size venue. (Recommended venues).

Dinner/cocktail music typically consists of light standard and contemporary Jazz and/or Classical artists. However, we encourage you to create an atmosphere that is reflective of your music preferences. Some other choices are classic R&B/Motown, Acoustic Guitar and Contemporary artists, International music, Lounge or electronica/chill styles of music. Any selections you do make should be soft in volume and easy to talk over. We are open to any other suggestions you may have as well.

Our DJ staff is carefully screened and well trained. We are happy to act as an emcee to make sure that the proper introductions and announcements are made but after that we want to involve and entertain your guests through perfect timing and creative placement of the music. All of our DJs follow the same format as far as style and presentation are concerned but differ in areas of expertise and backgrounds. They are well spoken, educated, successful and interesting people with diverse backgrounds and musical experience. We have male and female DJs so please simply tell us if you have a preference. References are available by request.
